“Pretty by Night” Conneaut Lake Park Travel Poster, by Mike Costello – Painting Print

The painting was styled after the retro travel posters of the 1950s and 1960s to showcase Conneaut Lake Park at its zenith, when one could walk the bustling midway from one end of the park to the other – all while visiting attractions such as the Beach Club, Sportland arcade, Dreamland Ballroom, and food stands, in addition to the amusement park rides. The time is at twilight, just as the big mid-summer moon is rising over the lake, only eclipsed by the fireworks and grand shade trees which have always been a hallmark of this once-popular resort.  Notice the shimmer of the water in Pennsylvania's largest natural lake, beyond the boardwalk.
