Michael E. Costello has been a lover of amusement parks since his youth. Having grown up in western Pennsylvania, Mike enjoyed living close toand visiting many traditional amusement parks. It was at Kennywood where Mike began to appreciate the history of this important piece of American culture when the park had just opened a new park expansion titled Lost Kennywood. Mike was completely intrigued by an historical display featuring local amusement parks and was inspired to collect books and postcards on the subject. Mike eventually wrote a Images of America: Conneaut Lake Park in 2005 and worked at various amusement parks. Mike currently works at a major Orlando theme park and is a member of the National Amusement Park Historical Association, with which he coordinates its digital marketing efforts and designs its magazine. |
